Founder & CEO of Ziwa Asili
A few years ago, a new mom named Annette welcomed her first child into the world—and with that, began a journey that would change everything.
Like so many women, Annette found early motherhood both beautiful and overwhelming. Breastfeeding came with unexpected challenges. So did balancing a demanding career, healing her body, and navigating a whole new identity. She quickly realized that while love came naturally, support and information didn’t always.
Instead of pushing through in silence, she got curious. And then she got creating.
Motivated by her own experience and the gap she saw for nourishing, natural solutions, Annette began developing safe, wholesome products to support breastfeeding moms—from lactation cookies to nutrient-rich blends. What started as a personal solution grew into a purpose-driven brand that now supports women in ways she once needed herself.
Today, Annette leads Ziwa Asili with the same heart that started it all: honest, intentional care for women at every stage. Her journey as a mother continues to inspire her work—not just in product creation, but in championing wellness, nourishment, and visibility for all women. She’s proof that when women are supported, they don’t just survive motherhood—they thrive through it.
